A true child of the military, Marlene entered the world on October 26, 1973, at Keesler Air Force Base, MS. From infancy, Marlene demonstrated extreme intelligence but social developmental disabilities. After being labeled as a person on the spectrum, Marlene was told from the age of three she would never do anything normal. Marlene possesses several undergraduate and graduate degrees in Literature, Criminal Justice, and History. She has even defied the odds and earned two doctorates. She has enjoyed an illustrious career in the legal field and now spends her time writing for pleasure and working to advocate for various social causes. Marlene moved to Northern Virginia in October 2019 with her husband Christopher after living 22 years in North Florida. They own two cats: Hermonie, a three-year-old black cat, and Albus (affectionately called Al), who is a seven-month-old black and white tuxedo cat.
